OJM's Mihir, Bhagirathi join BJD

Bhubaneswar: Other party leaders' Biju Janata Dal joining spree continues with two senior leaders of Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) embracing the ruling party after quitting the Pyari-led outfit today.

OJM vice president Mihir Mohanty and general secretary Bhagirathi Kar today took the decision after meeting BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik at the party headquarters here today.

"I was never formally suspended from the party and wish to continue working for it," said Mohanty after joining BJD.

BJD sources said their joining will strengthen the party.

BJD vice-president Kalpataru Das and all three BJD MLAs of Bhubaneswar--Bhagirathi Badjena, Ashok Panda and Bijay Mohanty-- were also present on the occasion.
