"The Rs 2.07 crore herbal park-cum-eco tourism centre will come up at Masani Barrage in Rewari district`s Dharuhera area," Forest Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said here on Sunday.

It would be named after Rajiv Gandhi as he had a great vision and love for biodiversity and nature, he said. Located at a distance of about 50 km from IGI airport in New Delhi, the park – set up over an area of 45 acres of land – would be made functional within a period of two years.

It would have log huts, camping sites, tree houses, information centre, ayurveda and yoga centres, water bodies, children park, waterfalls and rare and endangered medicinal plants` park.

"The park would go a long way in the development of eco- tourism in Haryana and also help in creating awareness about the conservation needs of desert`s flora and fauna besides improving the socio-economic conditions of the people," Yadav said.
