Bangalore: With new arrivals from Mysore zoo as part of an animal exchange programme, the number of imates at the Bannerghatta Biological Park near here has gone up.

The arrival of one white peacock, five silver pheasants, seven hog deer, two gharials, four spectacled caiman crocodiles and two Morelets` crocodiles from Mysore zoo has ramped up the status of animal collection at the Biological park, a BBP statement said.

Presently, there are 74 different species numbering to 1448 individual animals, it added.
