Vadodara: Around 24 pigeons of three rare species were allegedly stolen from Sayaji garden zoo here on Friday night, officials said.
"Complaint has been registered with the police and a notice has also been served to the security staff in the zoo as to how the incident took place," R K Sugur, deputy municipal commissioner of Vadodara Municipal Corporation said while talking to PTI.
Preliminary probe shows that two unidentified persons managed to break into the zoo to commit the crime, police said adding that the security staff on duty tried to nab them but they managed to escape.
