Amid ongoing disputes over the Heritage Corridor project, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi reached Puri today to take blessings of Lord Jagannath. On way to Puri, the motorcade was stopped by police and administrative officials near Patapola at Chandanpur, citing that Collector had not given permission for the proposed padyatra.
Police forces were deployed in large numbers in Chandanpur to prevent any untoward incident.

After being intercepted by the officials, MP Aparajita Sarangi decided to have darshan of the Holy Trinity by walking on foot. Here she can be seen taking the walk-way from Patapola to Puri Srimandir.
