World famous sand artist Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik has come up with a masterpiece sculpture to send a strong message across the globe on the need to curb consumption of cigarettes and other tobacco products.
Believe it or not, this skeleton placed on the cigarette butts is a sand art sculpted by the maestro Sudarsan Pattnaik. The message is loud and clear - Quit smoking or you will meet the same fate!
'Protect the environment' - Spreading this message, internationally acclaimed sand artist Manas Sahoo created a sand sculpture which shows the face of a man smoking a cigarette and how he is subsequently swallowed by it leading to death. The sculpture reflects the consequences of smoking and its deadly nature. Around 12 tons of sand has been used to sculpt this 12-ft wide sand art and it took Sahoo close to seven hours to complete it.
This morning, social organisation 'Mission Odisha' was joined by many tourists at the Puri sea beach to help spread awareness on the need to build a pollution-free environment.
