In a bizarre incident, a woman called off her wedding because she did not like the lehenga sent by the groom’s family. She claimed the lehenga was very cheap and does not match her standard.
The incident has been reported from Haldwani district in Uttarakhand.
However, the groom’s family claimed the lehenga was worth Rs 10,000. It was specially bought from Lucknow for the to-be bride.
According to sources, the father of the groom had ordered the lehenga from Lucknow for Rs 10,000. The groom’s family then sent it to the bride’s family.
However, the bride did not like it. She was so upset that she called off the wedding just few days before the ceremony.
The two had got engaged in June this year. The groom’s family had already got cards printed. Despite repeated attempts by both families, the girl was in no mood to marry her fiancé even though all preparations were made and their engagement was done.
This isn’t the first time that such an incident has happened. Indian weddings can be dramatic sometimes, all thanks to desi Indian men and also women.
Recently, a bride called off her wedding after the groom turned up in a drunken state. On the other hand, a groom called off his wedding after finding out that the bride had a boyfriend before the marriage.
Besides, recently, a few friends of a groom from Kerala made the bride sign a contract to allow him to spend time with them till 9 pm every day without any disturbance.
