Bhubaneswar: A youth working at controversial self-styled Godman Sura Baba alias Surendra Mishra's Trahi Achyuta Ashram located at Jhiniti Sasan on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar is missing for last nine years.

Ajit Senapati of Lachamakona village under Erasama Police limits of Jagatsinghpur district, who was working as an accountant in Trahi Achyuta Ashram and staying at the ashram, is missing since March, 2011.

Though Senapati's mother Chandrabali had earlier visited the ashram and inquired about her son, she did not get any satisfactory answer from the self-styled Godman. The anxious mother, who is eagerly waiting for her son for the last nine years, has said that only Sura Baba can tell whereabouts of her son.

"When I asked about my son, Sura Baba told me to go and search for him. Again I went to the ashram, but he ordered some people to drive me out of the ashram. When I complained to the police in Khurda, the inspector told me that he had visited the ashram and at that time Sura Baba was under arrest. The inspector told me that he cannot do anything else," Chandrabali alleged.

"Only God knows about my plight. Sura Baba is responsible for everything. If police become their protector, who will search my son?" she questioned.

Senapati's sister Radharani also brought similar allegations against the controversial Godman and said, "We want Sura Baba to be questioned because only he knows where my brother is."

Meanwhile, the handling of the case by the police has also come under scanner. No response has been received from police as well as the ashram authorities so far.
