Bhubaneswar: Love is in the air and the lovers are all set to express their feelings to their beloved ones on Valentine’s Day and at the same time the moral watch dogs might give a hard time to the love birds.

As per the legend, Roman priest Saint Valentine defied Roman Emperor Claudius II and performed clandestine marriages for young love birds as marriage of young men was prohibited.

Yet another record suggests that the day is celebrated to commemorate the death anniversary of Saint Valentine.

Apart from the folk-lore, the Day also symbolizes love, a day that people would love to make it memorable and a cherished one by being with their loved ones. Exchange of gifts, cards, chocolates, hugs and kisses make beautiful each and every moment spent together.

“I would spend the whole day with my group of friends in my college and enjoy the whole day,” Anusika, a college goer said.

Meanwhile, the moral brigades of our society are likely to play spoil sport during the V-day celebrations. They have issued strict warnings to the love birds not to indulge in any public display of affection.

“We have engaged our members who would shoot the intimate moments of couples if they are found making their affections public. We would later circulate those video clips in you tube,” Subash Chauhan Convenor of Bajrang Dal said.
