Youth brutally hacked to death inside house in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A youth was brutally hacked to death inside his house at Minabazaar of Dhenkanal town today. The deceased identified as Mantu Patra was the owner of a jewellery shop in the town.

Mantu's body was first spotted by his son who informed other family members."When I entered the room, I found my father lying in a pool of blood. All the doors were open and there were footprints of blood around him," informed the Mantu's elder son, Surya.

"I had gone out to drop my son for tuitions and found all this upon my return. He had no enemies," said wife of the deceased while crying inconsolably.

On getting the information, a team of police arrived on the spot for investigation.

"It is too early to say anything. The family members are in a state of shock and it will take us some time to interrogate and find out the details. We are investigating all angles," informed Dhenkanal SP, Santosh Kumar Nayak.

Meanwhile, police is suspecting involvement of two workers who were employed in Mantu's shop, informed sources.
