Kendrapara: Tension prevailed at Balikana village under Pattamundai police limits here following death of a minor boy after being allegedly administered a wrong injection.

As per reports, Subrat Barik (14), son of one Meghanad Barik of the village was suffering from fever since the past few days and was taken to a local medical store where he was administered an injection by the store owner Indrajeet Biswas, identified to be a resident of Kolkata.

However, the boy’s health condition worsened and a few minutes later, he started foaming at the mouth.

After he was rushed to Rajnagar Hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

The family members of the deceased alleged that wrong medication led to death of the boy.

Following the incident, the villagers detained the medicine store owner, and demanded his arrest by police.
