Woman in labour denied hospital bed, delivers baby on hospital veranda

Keonjhar: A woman was forced to deliver her child on veranda of the Keonjhar district headquarters hospital after she was denied a bed last night.

As per reports, the woman, hailing from Asanabahala village in Anandpur sub-division reached the hospital along with husband Sama Guya at around 7 pm yesterday.

“Although my wife was going through acute labour pain, we were denied a bed by the hospital authorities. The doctor stated that there is still enough time for her to deliver,” alleged Guya.
