Bhubaneswar: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in four districts of interior Odisha in next 24 hours under the influence of two trough lines, forecast the Regional Meteorological Centre today.

Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Nuapada districts will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall under the influence of a trough line extending from Jamshedpur to east central Bay of Bengal. This apart, another trough line passing through Odisha extended up to Andhra Pradesh will trigger the rainfall, said Laxmidhara Mohapatra, Duty Officer of the Regional Meteorological Centre.

While Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kandhamal and Bolangir districts will get heavy rainfall, other districts of the State are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, he added.

In Malkangiri, the maximum 164.8 mm rainfall has been recorded this morning.
