Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued moderate thunderstorm alert and lightning alert for 12 districts in Odisha.

As per the latest forecast, moderate thunderstorm and lightning with light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda including Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Balasore , Mayurbhanj, and Nayagarh between 7:45 PM to 10:45 PM today.

People in these districts have been advised to stay indoors in view of light to moderate rainfall during the thunderstorm.
