Weather alert: Thunderstorm, rainfall warning for 4 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Amid delay in the onset of monsoon compounding the heat conditions in the State, the Meteorological department has issued thunderstorm and rainfall alert for several places of Odisha.

According to a release of the Regional Meteorological Centre here, light to moderate thunderstorm/lightning and light to moderate rainfall with gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph likely to occur over some parts of the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati between 9.30 AM and 12.30 PM.

The people in the district have been advised to stay indoors during these hours.
