Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department has forecast rain across Odisha, particularly in the western region of the State, for two days from today.

Several districts of Odisha including, Sundergarh, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada are likely to experience rainfall.

"Due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over eastern Bihar, western parts of Odisha like Sundergarh, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Nuapada are likely to receive rainfall," said RK Nayak, duty officer of the meteorological centre.

Following the rain, temperature is likely to come down and the intensity of cold will increase further, the official added.

Earlier on Friday, several places of western Odisha had received moderate rainfall.
