Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar predicted that dry weather is likely to prevail in the State in next 48 hours.

Weather expert at the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Sudarshan Mishra said, "The weather will remain dry in most of the places across the State during next 48 hours. However, rainfall is likely to occur in interior areas of the state from March 3. Warnings of thunderstorm, medium rainfall and lightning with gusty surface wind are issued for coastal and interior areas on March 4 and 5."

"There are no special warnings issued for fishermen," he added.

Last night's thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rainfall caused damages and affected normal life in different places of the State. As per reports, Gopalpur received highest rainfall (11.6 millimetre) yesterday.
