Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha including coastal areas will experience rainfall from tomorrow, as per the latest forecast of Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

The low-pressure over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood persists and the associated cyclonic circulation now extends up to 4.5 km above the sea level, met office sources said.

Another low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal while the axis of monsoon trough is also active. The phenomenon will trigger rains in several parts of Odisha from tomorrow, added sources.

"Due to low-pressure, rain and thunderstorm is likely to occur at many places over several districts of North Odisha and at a few places over South Odisha from tomorrow," the latest forecast of met department read.

Meanwhile, average rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours in several parts of Odisha stood at 3.4 mm, Special Relief Commissioner's (SRC) office said today.

As all the major rivers are flowing below the warning and danger levels, there is no flood-like situation in the state, informed sources.
