Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha will witness heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, as per the latest forecast of Indian Meteorological Department.

The low pressure area formed now lies over Odisha and West Bengal and it is likely to trigger moderate to heavy rain in both the States.

Heavy to very heavy rain is also likely at isolated places over interior Odisha, Konkan and Goa on Sunday.

JC Behera, duty officer of Regional Meterological Center at Bhubaneswar informed that already several parts of Odisha witnessed rainfall activity in the past 24 hours.

"Several pockets in coastal areas of Odisha will witness rainfal in the next 24 hours," said Behera.

Behera further stated that another low pressure system is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal by July 19.
