Watch: Wild elephant strays into Malihata village in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj but…

A wild elephant entered Malihata village under the Moroda block of Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.

The elephant entered the village in this morning and created havoc in the village. 

The giant tusker gripped the locals in fear as it moved around the lanes of the village.  

However, the tusker moved around the village without causing any harm to life and property.

On being informed about the elephant, Forest officials from the Rasgobindpur range arrived at the spot to drive it away from the village. 

After hours of maneuvers, the elephant was sent back into the wild safely.

According to reports, a herd of 16 elephants frequently strays into the village, leaving residents in a state of fear and panic.
