Wagon of goods train derails after hitting truck

Jharsuguda: The movement of trains was affected in Jharsuguda after a goods train rammed into a Hyva truck near Rajpur railway crossing on Friday night.

Following the collision, one wagon of the goods train also jumped the tracks, sources said. Though no casualty was reported in the mishap, transportation of coal and movement of trains was affected for a few hours, sources said.

Sources said the truck had reportedly got stuck on the tracks after it developed some technical glitch. Later, a goods train that was passing through the route, rammed into the truck.

Official sources said that the restoration work is being carried on a war footing.
