Visitors throng stalls to make last minute purchases on last day of Bali Yatra
Cuttack: After nine days of Bali Yatra festival, visitors made beeline for last minute purchases on the closing day of the festival today.
While locals thronged food stalls, adventure rides witnessed unusual rush on the last day. The last day saw huge rush of buyers at the home utensils and kitchen utility stalls.
On the other hand, traders said that the extra three days of the festival this year has definitely proven profitable for them.
“It has been a memorable experience coming to the festival and buying house utility things,” said Anita Agarwal, a visitor at the festival.
“Women and housewives are mostly coming to the festival to buy house utility things,” a trader at the festival said.
Similar to earlier years, various adventure rides at the festival were a major attraction for visitors this year too. The Frisbee and ranger rides were among the favourites. Similarly, Brake Dance and Octopus rides were also star attractions at the festival.
“The rides are very exciting and gave me an awesome experience,” a visitor said.
A ride owner at the festival said, “Business was mostly dampening for the last nine days. However, we are expecting good business on the last day of the festival.”
