Kalahandi: Local villagers are forced to collect money to feed school children as no mid-day meal is provided to them for the last two months. Protesting this, the parents have been hard pressed to lock the Governmert Upper Primary School at Laxmipur in Kalahandi district.
For the last several months, mid-day meal was not provided to students owing to the absence of the head master. Parents and the school committee members had approached the DI several times to resolve the crisis but in vain.
The villagers even have brought it to the notice of the district collector. The collector has assured them that he would take proper action after an official inquiry.
