Video Of Man Thrashing Kid At Anganwadi Centre Goes Viral In Odisha

Keonjhar: A video purportedly showing a man beating up a minor boy mercilessly at an Anganwadi centre in the district has gone viral on social media, sparking strong reaction among the locals.

The incident which took place at Anganwadi Centre-1 in Sibanarayanpur village under Hatadihi block of the district on November 2 came to light recently after its video clip went viral on the social media platforms.

According to sources, two kids had entered into a quarrel while attending class at the Anganwadi centre on November 2. Soon after the fight, one of the boys went to home and narrated about the incident to his father Sanatan Ghadei.

Ghadei lost his cool after hearing about the incident and rushed to the Anganwadi Centre. He held the other minor boy upside down and beat him up ruthlessly. Tension erupted at the village after the video went viral.

Following the incident, Pramod Pala, the father of the victim boy criticised the Anganwadi worker alleging that she did not inform him about the beating of his son.

“When I approached the Anganwadi worker to inquire about the incident,she told me that she had informed the supervisor about it but the latter in return had asked her to suppress the matter fearing loss of her job,” Pala said.

“Now after the report of the incident, the Anganwadi worker has assured that she would lodge a complaint and I too would also file an FIR in connection with the incident,” he added.
