Union Budget boosts India’s growth momentum: BJP National VP and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda

BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda hailed the Union Budget on Sunday as a strong continuation of India’s economic transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Speaking to the media, senior BJP leader Panda said the past twelve years have positioned India as the world’s fastest-growing major economy while maintaining low inflation and lifting millions out of poverty.

Kendrapara MP Panda stated, “This is a very impressive continuation of what has been happening in India for the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, which has delivered the fastest growing large economy, the lowest inflation, and the largest number of people brought out of poverty.”

The MP noted that long-pending employment goals are now being achieved, attributing the progress to the Government of India’s sustained policy focus. Jay Panda particularly welcomed the renewed emphasis on tourism, infrastructure development and the MSME sector, calling these measures vital for long-term growth and job creation.

Jay Panda asserted that the Union Budget introduces a wide range of initiatives that will further strengthen India’s economic trajectory, describing the country’s growth story as one of the strongest globally.

“Employment targets are being met after decades of aspiration, and the thrust that has been given in this budget to tourism, infrastructure, and MSMEs – the small-scale sector – is very very impressive. There is a wide range of initiatives, and this is going to keep the India story going as the best economic story in the world,” the National VP expressed.

Later, taking to his personal X (formerly Twitter) handle, the senior BJP leader wrote, “This is a very impressive continuation of what has been happening for the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji … #ViksitBharatBudget.”

Earlier today, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced major infrastructure initiatives with a strong focus on Odisha, aimed at promoting environmentally sustainable movement of cargo and strengthening logistics connectivity.
