Bhubaneswar: AICC general secretary Odisha in-charge, who is on two-day Odisha visit, has left for Berhampur today to meet block level chairmen over the selection of candidates for the ensuing general elections.
 
“Now, I am going to Berhampur (Ganjam) where I will hold discussion with 42 block level chairmen. I will ask them to produce a list of the deserving candidates for the next polls”, Tytler told media before leaving for Silk city.
 
After completing his Berhampur visit, the Congress leader is scheduled to visit Cuttack over same reason of selection of party candidates.
 
Recently, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, during his Odisha visit, had led stress on strengthening party organsiations at grassroots level. He had prioritized the opinion of block level leaders for the selection of candidates.
