 Balasore/Keonjhar: There seems to be no let up in rape cases in Odisha with two more incidents being reported today.

Police today arrested a man for allegedly raping a tribal woman in Soro area of Balasore district on May 2. According to sources, the incident occurred when the woman from Oupada area had gone to Soro along with her husband to attend a relative's marriage. A case in this connection has been registered at Soro Police Station.

The accused has been identified as Shyam Singh.

"On May 2, a woman from Oupada area had come to attend the marriage ceremony of her relative along with her husband, when the accused raped her. The accused has been nabbed and after medical examination he will be forwarded to the court," said Dilip Sahu, Inspector-in-charge of Soro Police Station.

In a separate incident, a married woman was allegedly raped under Telkoi police limits of Keonjhar today. The accused, identified as Sushil Nayak, has been arrested by police.

According to the complaint, the woman was raped by Nayak when she had gone to attend nature's call. The accused had come to the village to attend a marriage ceremony, informed sources, adding further that he was arrested after a complaint was lodged at the police station.
