Two Women Killed , Child Critical In Snakebite In Odisha

Malkangiri: Two women died while a child from the same family was admitted to hospital in a critical condition after being bitten by a venomous snake at Kapanpali village under Padia block in Malkangiri district early morning on Saturday.

The deceased women have been identified as Debe Madi and Radha Madi, said sources. The child who was also bitten by the snake has been admitted to Padia Community Health Centre (CHC) and his health condition is stated to be critical.

As per reports, the three family members were sleeping inside their house when the snake bit them. Though the trio was rushed to the CHC immediately, Debe and Radha were declared dead by the doctors.
