Two Siblings killed in wall collapse in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Two minor siblings were killed and two others sustained critical injuries after the wall of their house at Manoharpur village under Ghatagaon police limits in the district collapsed on them late on Sunday night.

While the deceased were identified as Shriram Munda (3) and Geeta (5), their mother Rukmini and sister Hemlata (5) were among the two who suffered injuries in the incident.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when Rukmini was sleeping with her three children inside the house last night. Suddenly a portion of the wall collapsed on them following which Shriram and Geeta died on the spot.

Soon after the mishap, villagers rushed to the spot and rescued Rukmini and Hemlata. Later, both of them were admitted to the local hospital while their condition is still stated to be critical.

It is being said that the wall of the house was in a dilapidated condition as a result of incessant rain over the past few days.
