According to reports, elephants typically travel during the night and retreat deeper into the forest before daybreak. However, in this instance, it is suspected that two elephants were unable to return in time. Upon encountering humans, they appeared hesitant and were unable to proceed further.

Crowd Gathers, Delays Safe Return

Forest officials noted that a large number of local residents had gathered along Nidhipur road to see the elephants. This unexpected crowd reportedly obstructed the animals’ path, preventing them from safely returning to their natural habitat. The congregation of people is believed to have significantly delayed the elephants’ movement back into the forest.
