Two bikers killed after collision with car in Keonjhar; four injured in Bhubaneswar

Two bike riders were killed while four other sustained critical injuries in separate road mishaps in Odisha Capital Bhubaneswar and Keonjhar respectively.

In the first incident, reported from keonjhar, two young bike riders lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a car at Golabandha on the Kanjipani-Kantala road in Telkoi on Sunday. The incident has once again drawn attention to rising concerns over road safety in the state.

Fatal Mishap in Telkoi

According to reports, the accident occurred within Telkoi police limits when a car struck the motorcycle with considerable force. The impact left both riders critically injured. Locals and passers-by rushed to their aid, and they were immediately transported towards a hospital in Keonjhar for emergency treatment. However, due to the severity of their injuries, both youths succumbed on the way, leaving their families devastated.

Authorities are yet to release further details regarding the circumstances leading to the collision. An investigation is expected to ascertain the exact cause of the crash.

Separate Crash in Bhubaneswar

In a separate incident on the same day, a car travelling from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar rammed into two motorcycles on the Rasulgarh overbridge in the capital city. The collision resulted in injuries to four individuals who were riding two separate bikes. All the injured were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.

The back-to-back accidents have raised fresh alarm over reckless driving and adherence to traffic regulations. As authorities probe both incidents, grieving families mourn their loss while the injured continue their recovery in hospital.
