A Hyva truck was completely gutted in a massive fire near Ramachandrapur along the Naranpur–Duburi road in Keonjhar district on Sunday night.

According to sources, the vehicle suddenly caught fire and was engulfed in flames within a short span of time. Thick plumes of smoke billowed into the sky as the truck burned intensely, triggering panic among local residents and commuters on the busy stretch.

On receiving information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and launched an operation to contain the blaze. After sustained efforts, the fire was brought under control. However, by the time the flames were extinguished, the truck had been completely destroyed.

The driver had a narrow escape. After noticing smoke emanating from the engine, he immediately stopped the vehicle and jumped out to safety moments before the fire spread rapidly. No injuries were reported in the incident.
