Sambalpur: Train services have been temporarily suspended on Sambalpur-Titlagarh section due to waterlogging on railway tracks at several places, informed JP Mishra, Dy. General Manager East Coast Railway (ECoR).

In view of the safety of passengers, the ECoR has decided to temporarily suspend the movement of trains on the route following which several trains are presently stranded at different railway stations.

As per reports, Sambalpur-Rayagada Express is halted at Barpali while Ajmer-Puri Express and Ispat Express are halted at Loisinga and Dungripali railway stations respectively.

"All the above trains are safe. Passengers are safe and the train services will resume once the water level recedes," informed Mishra.

Meanwhile, the ECoR informed that Rourkela-Jagadalpur-Rourkela Express from Rourkela on 13.08.2019 and from Jagadalpur on 14.08.2019 will remain cancelled due to the heavy rain.
