Bhubaneswar: The Additional Sessions Court here on Wednesday will hear the bail plea of Hi-Tech MD Tirupati Panigrahi and two others in connection with the alleged land cheating case associated with Kunja Vihar and Puspanjali Enclaves.

On Tuesday, the court had rejected the bail plea of Panigrahi and his two aides- Tirupati Choudhury and Madhusudan Panigrahi who were arrested by the Crime Branch (CB) of Odisha police on December 25 for their alleged involvement in Bhagya Nagar land scam.

The High Court will hear plea of the accused to de-freeze as many as 147 bank accounts of the business conglomerate, which were freezed by the CB suspecting money laundering by the group. On Tuesday during hearing the accused had reasoned that it was ‘illegal’ to block the accounts of Hi-Tech Medical college, a unit of the Group which comes under essential services.
