Bhubaneswar: The latest statement by senior Congress leader and in-charge of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee, Jagdish Tytler, to completely overhaul the party and dump such leaders who have failed to motivate the party during the last panchayat elections has created a turmoil in the party. The Odisha in-charge gave the statement during the extended session of the state Working Committee.

Several senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee like Sarat Rout and Narasingha Mishra have demanded that the party must start identifying such persons who have failed to rejuvenate the party for a complete overhaul and induct new persons in their place. The party has even constituted a three-member inquiry committee headed by former minister Chandrasekhar Sahoo. Sarat Rout and Ramkrishna Patnaik were the two other members of the crucial committee. The PCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik said,"The party will now have to pick up more active and effective persons."
