Bhubaneswar: Three children were charred to death in a fire accident at a house of Shankar Hanka at Matiagada in Mayurbhanj.

The deceased girls have been identified as Yasmani, Saraswati and Sumitra aged between five to eight.

The incident took place on Tuesday night, when Shankar, his wife and other three children had gone to visit a relative.

The police have begun their investigation, though the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
