Bhadrak: On October 17, Durga Charan Murmu, Tehsildar of Dhamnagar had filed a case at local police station against one RakeshMohanty alleging the latter of misbehaving with him. While Rakesh is on a run since the incident, his father today died of heart attack.

The case took a fresh twist today as family members of Rakesh claimed that his father died of heart attack due to constant pressure from police and district administration. Keeping the body in front of the Tehsildar Office, the family members staged a protest seeking action against the DhamnagarTehsildar.

Alleging harassment by district administration and the police officials, SurajMohanty, brother of Rakesh said, "We want Dhamnagar Tehsildar Durga Charan Murmu to be suspended." He also demanded to drop all the charges against his brother Rakesh claiming that he is innocent.

Soon, Sub-Collector PitambarSamal, Bhadrak SP Rajesh Pandit reached the spot to pacify the family members. After assurance from the officials of a fair and detailed investigation in the matter, the family members called off the strike and took the body for autopsy, sources said.
