Teacher's body found inside drain; family alleges murder

Sambalpur: The body of a school teacher was recovered under mysterious circumstances from a drain near Tangana in Sambalpur district today.

The deceased identified as Ved Prakash Sahi was a resident of Bahalpada area and was working as a teacher at a private school in Chhattisgarh.

According to sources, Sahi had gone outside late last night and didn't return. Today morning some locals found his body floating in the drain.

"I thought he was at home. Today morning my mother said that he didn't return home last night. Later, I found his body was floating in the drain," said Dinesh Sahi, brother of the deceased.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. However the exact reason behind the death is yet to be established.

However, family members alleged that Sahi has been murdered.
