Teachers’ agitation enters 31st day
Bhubaneswar: With government yet to take a decision on the demands; the ongoing agitation by teachers entered the 31st day today continuing to affect the functioning of schools and colleges across the state.
Golak Nayak, Convener, Odisha School College Teachers and Employees’ United Forum, said “We will take out rallies at the Panchayat level to make people aware that these schools and colleges are going to close because of government’s inaction. The agitation will continue till our demands are not fulfilled.”
Meanwhile, School and Mass Education Minister, Badri Narayan Patra said “Education at the school and college levels is getting affected. Discussions are being held with the teachers. I would even request them to withdraw the agitation as this is affecting education and will not resolve the matter.”
