Balasore: A minor girl has lodged a complaint with the police stating that a para-teacher of a primary school in Balasore district had made her pregnant, the police said today. The para-teacher of the school in Muruna village under Simulia police station was a regular visitor to the victim`s house and had developed a relationship with the girl.

When she became pregnant, the teacher promised to marry her. However, the teacher took her to a private nursing home at Bhadrak and terminated her pregnancy on July 20, the complaint said. The victim along with her mother and some other relatives lodged a complaint against the teacher. The police have registered a case on Friday. The teacher was absconding.
