Bhubaneswar: Despite slowdown in hiring by top IT companies, the country’s largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is confident of recruiting 4,000 resources in state capital in the next 2-3 months.

This was informed by TCS chief executive officer and managing director N Chandrasekaran after meeting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the secretariat here on Friday.

“We’ll recruit about 4,000 once the expansion work at Bhubaneswar centre is completed. This will take another 2-3 months,” Chandrasekaran said.

Currently, the Bhubaneswar centre, also known as TCS Kalinga Park is providing business solutions to as many as 20 national and global clients, and employs about 1000 people.

The leading outsourcing organization which aims to further expand the centre by 2015-16 will generate above 10,000 employment, Chandrasekaran added.

Developed over 45 acres of land, TCS launched the Bhubaneswar centre on January 4, 2009.
