Bargarh: In yet another instance of blind faith, a family in Bargarh district sought the help of a tantrik to revive a dead woman.

As per reports, the family members of one Saptashila Bhoi had rushed her to the hospital suspecting that she was bitten by a venomous snake on Saturday. However, she was declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital.
Later, the family members called a tantrik to resurrect Saptashila.

A large number of villagers gathered outside the post mortem room as the tantrik chanted some mantras near the dead body. As nothing seemed to be working, the tantrik changed his tack and counselled the bereaved family that the woman could have been saved if they had called him a bit earlier.

"The patient was brought dead to the hospital. Though family members told that the woman was bitten by a snake, there was no bite mark on her hand," said Saroj Seth, a doctor of Padmapur sub-divisional hospital.

Seth further stated that the woman had some swelling on her palm and later we informed local police in this regard.
