Bhubaneswar: Suspended BJD MP Ramchandra Hansdah on Monday brought serious allegations against the party over withdrawal of his suspension.

"I am a leader from tribal-dominated region. Had I been a leader representing coastal Odisha, the suspension would have been revoked by now," said Hansdah.

However, the BJD refused to comment on Hansdah's allegation.

"I have not heard what he (Hansdah) has said. So, let me first listen then we will comment," said BJD spokesperson Sasmit Patra.

BJD had suspended Hansdah in November 2014 after he was arrested for his alleged involvement in the chit fund scam.

Hansda got bail from the Supreme Court in July this year.
