Rayagada: One of the bogies of the Puri-Ahmedabad Superfast Express was detached after it touched the ground soon after it left the Kalyansinghpur station in Rayagada district today.

"The under frame of a general sleeper coach, the fourth from the engine, was found touching the ground soon after it left Kalyansinghpur station this morning," station superintendent of Rayagada railway station S R Hembram said. He attributed it to a mechanical problem.

No one was injured, an East Coast Railway (ECoR) spokesman said. He said the coach was detached and the passengers were accommodated in other coaches before the train continued its journey behind schedule.
