Subhadra Yojana assistance amounting to over Rs 315 crore will be credited to the bank accounts of more than 4.57 lakh beneficiaries across Odisha on Thursday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally disburse the financial assistance at a state-level programme scheduled to be held at 11 am at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) campus in Bhubaneswar.
The scheme aims to provide direct financial support to eligible women beneficiaries through direct benefit transfer to their bank accounts.
The disbursal will cover both new and previously excluded beneficiaries, ensuring wider coverage under the welfare programme.
New Beneficiaries To Receive First Instalment
Among those to be benefited on Thursday are 1,78,398 newly enrolled women beneficiaries, who will receive the first instalment of Subhadra assistance. This marks their formal inclusion under the scheme.
In addition, a substantial number of beneficiaries who had earlier missed out on payments will also be covered in the current phase.
