Student killed in road mishap in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A student was killed while her father sustained critical injuries after the two-wheeler they were riding was hit by a cement laden truck  at Gourangpur village under Ranpur police limits in the district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as student of Class 8th and daughter of one Ranjit Kumar Padhiari.

As per reports, the minor girl was returning home with her father after her tuition classes when the mishap occurred. While the girl died on the spot, her father sustained critical injuries in the mishap.

Soon after the accident the driver of the truck fled the spot. Later, locals detained the truck and informed the police. On receiving information, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
