Stray dogs feed on severed head of infant at Sishu Bhawan
Cuttack: In a shocking incident, some stray dogs were found feeding on the severed head of a newborn on the premises of Sishu Bhawan on Monday.
As per reports, 3 to 4 dogs were caught in the act around 9 pm yesterday. But it is unclear how they got the body part of the deceased infant.
Responding to the incident, Superintendent of Sishu Bhawan said that a probe has been initiated to find out what exactly happened.
Day before yesterday, an elderly person had died allegedly after being denied treatment and left unattended for days at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack following which the medical authorities decided to set up special wards for destitute patients.
The body of the unidentified person was left unattended in front of the busy medicine ward since Saturday. It was only after OTV reported about the shocking incident yesterday; SCB authorities swung into action and shifted the body.
