Bhubaneswar: With the Centre planning to set up National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in the wake of the serial blasts in Hyderabad, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said the states would examine the revised provisions of the new system.

"We will examine the revised provisions of the NCTC," Patnaik told reporters after presiding over a high level meeting on the subject here.

Earlier, Patnaik had taken lead in anti-NCTC campaign and opposed to the provisions of the system alleging that they intended to curb federal rights of states. The NCTC was proposed to be set up for coordinated intelligence sharing in the wake of the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
