Bhubaneswar: State government on Monday announced to set up a special industrial training institute (ITI) for disabled persons and a special hostel for differently abled working women.

The announcements were made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while attending a function marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities here.

While the special ITI would come up at Barang, the womens hostel would be set up in the state capital, he said.

"The persons with disabilities need special care in the society. They could contribute to the nation building if provided required assistance," Patnaik said.
