Stage singer gangraped in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A stage singer has lodged a complaint at the Bhadrak Rural Police Station alleging gang rape. As per the allegations brought by the victim, she was tipped to perform at a wedding ceremony.

Rather than taken to the marriage procession, she was taken to a secluded place and gang-raped, the victim alleged. The accused left in the victim in a critical state and fled the spot. After getting information, victim’s father reached the spot and rescued her.

Her father took her to hospital after rescuing her from the spot. Subsequently, a complaint in the police station was lodged based on which the police has began an investigation.

Meanwhile, the victim has informed that she did not recognize the culprits.
